Q-Sys system elements
- The primary elements of a Q-Sys system are the Core, the Designer software, the Q-LAN network, and the peripherals.
- Q-Sys Core is the brain of the system, performing all audio routing, processing, and control functions.
- Q-Sys Designer software provides the interface for system design, configuration, and control.
- Q-LAN is the IP-friendly network that connects the system into an integrated whole.
- Q-Sys peripherals such as I/O Frames, I/O cards, page stations and touch screen controllers provide fully customizable, application-specific functionality.
Control Peripherals
The Q-SYS TSC-8 combines capacitive touch technology with a bright 400 nits, 800 x 600 full color LCD for state-of-the-art control of a Q-Sys system. Touchscreen control is the ideal user-interface for sophisticated systems in which control needs can range from a few simple parameters to recall of global snapshots. The TSC-8 can be used to control much more than just audio; a wide variety of equipment can be managed utilizing the Q-Sys Core's GPIO and TCP/IP instruction mechanisms providing true one-touch control of complete systems.
- When multiple TSC-8 controllers control a single system, changes made from one unit will be reflected on the displays of others. Creation of the custom user screens is accomplished within the Q-Sys environment using the User Control Interface (UCI) Designer which allows selection of any Q-Sys element to be "pulled" into the interface and adjusted for size and color.
- For applications in which room diagrams, corporate logos or other graphical elements are desired, the TSC-8 can support full-color bit-mapped images.
- The TSC-8 is offered in black (TSC-8-BK) or white (TSC-8-WH) and designed for easy flush-mount installation in a wall, lectern or similar flat surface.
- The back box (TSC-8-BX) provides a convenient location for housing the power and network connections.(sold separately)
- The TSC-8 provides two network interfaces for connection to the Q-Sys system. These dual ports allow the controller to be connected to two separate networks enabling redundant operation modes for mission critical applications.
