SAMSON AIRLINE 77 WITH HM40 MIC

UHF  WIND INSTRUMENT WIRELESS SYSTEM

Overview:

The AirLine 77 UHF Wind Instrument System offers a true wireless experience with no beltpacks and no cables, allowing complete freedom of mobility. The system includes an AH1 transmitter mounted to a Samson HM40 condenser element, along with the CR77 receiver.

Components:

CR77 True Diversity Receiver

  • The CR77 true-diversity half-rack UHF receiver is at the core of the system.
  •  A synthesized PLL frequency control circuitry keeps the signal locked and true while dual tuned molded antennas with LEDs monitor the true-diversity operation.
  • The CR77 features a front panel display with large multi-segment audio level and RF level LED meters, and a large rotary volume knob allows easy adjustment of audio output. Its rear panel features balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4-inch outputs allowing flexible connection options.
  •  Where two wireless systems are required, two CR77 receivers can be rackmounted together in a single-space rack adapter available as an additional accessory.
  • With the Concert 77 Presentation System, advanced technology and total convenience combine to provide professional wireless performance wherever you need it.

The Samson CR77 Wireless Microphone Receiver is paired with a number of Samson transmitters, such as the Airline and Concert series. The true-diversity UHF receiver features 1/4" phone and XLR output connections. True-diversity reception and PLL synthesized tuning result in reliable reception without noise and artifacts. Additional features include dual antennas, XLR and 1/4" phone output connectors, RF level LED meters, and a large output volume control dial.

  • XLR and unbalanced 1/4-inch outputs with mic/line level output switch
  • True diversity UHF wireless headset system with PLL frequency control
  • CR77 receiver features multi-segment audio level and RF level LED meters, squelch and volume control
  • AC adapter and 1/4-inch to 1/4-inch cable included

With AirLine Wireless, you get complete wireless freedom that's good to go anywhere the music takes you.

CR77 Front Panel Features:

1.) Antennas ( A and B ) - The antenna mounting allow rotation for optimum placement.

2.) Volume Control - This knob sets the level of the audio signal being output through both the balanced and unbalanced output jacks on the rear panel.

3.) Audio Meter - This "ladder" display indicates the strength  of the incoming audio signal.

4.) Squelch Control - This control determines the maximum range of the CR77 before audio signal dropout.

5.) A/B AntennaLED'S - When signal is being received, one of these will be lit green, showing you whether the (left) "A" or (right) "B" antenna is currently being used.

6.) RF (Radio Frequency) Level meter - This "ladder" display indicates the strength of the incoming radio signal.

7.)  Power Switch - Use this to turn the CR77 power on or off.

CR77 Rear Panel Features:

1.) DC Input - Connect the supplied 12 volt 160mA power adapter here using the strain relief.

2.) Balanced Output* - Use this electronically balanced low impedance (600-Ohm) XLR jack when connecting the CR77 to professional (+4) audio equipment.

3.) Audio Output Level Switch - Sets the audio output level attenuation of the balanced output to -20 dBm (line level) or -40 dBm (mic level.)

4.) Unbalanced Output* - Use this unbalanced high impedance (5K Ohm) 1/4" jack when connecting the CR77 to consumer (-10) audio equipment.

AH1 transmitter mounted to a Samson HM40 condenser element

The AirLine Wind Instrument System features an AH1 transmitter mounted to a Samson HM40 condenser element used by many of today's top horn players. Both systems allow the performer to mount the element and transmitter to the bell of the instrument with no packs or wires to hinder their performance.

All of the AirLine transmitters operate on inexpensive and lightweight AAA batteries that offer 14 hours of operation on a single battery.

AH1 Headset Transmitter Panel Features:

1: Power / Battery LED - This LED flashes once when the AH1 is first turned on and lights steadily red when there is less than 2 hours of battery  power remaining, indicating that the battery needs to be changed.

2: Antenna - This permanently attached flexible antenna should be fully extended during normal operations.

3: Battery compartment - Insert a standard AAA alkaline battery here, being sure to observe the plus and minus polarity markings shown. We recommend the Duracell type battery. Although rechargeable Ni-Cad batteries can be used, they do not supply adequate current for more than  four hours.

4: Mute switch - Move this switch in the direction of the arrow to mute the AH1; move it away from the arrow to unmute it and transmit audio signal. Because the carrier signal remains during muting, no “pop” or “thud” will be heard. Note that turning this off does not turn  off the transmitter power—it is simply a way to temporarily mute the transmission of audio signal. If you don’t plan on using the AH1 for extended periods, turn it off power by using the power on-off switch

5: Power switch - Move this switch in the direction of the arrow to turn power to the AH1 on; move it away from the arrow to turn power off. (to conserve battery power, be sure to turn the AH1 off when not in use). Be sure to mute the audio signal at your external mixer or  amplifier before turning the AH1 power on or off, or an audible pop may result

AH1 Horn Microphone:

1: Samson HM40 horn Microphone - This microphone s "hard-wired" to a Samson AH1 headset transmitter.

2: Samson AH1 headset transmitter  - This permanently attached flexible antenna should be fully extended during normal operations.

3: Horn Bell Clamp - Use this to attach the entire assembly to the bell of your horn.

General Features:

  • CR77 receiver features multi-segment audio level and RF level LED meters
  • Squelch and volume control
  • XLR and unbalanced 1/4-inch outputs with mic/line level output switch
  • AH1 headset transmitter features power/battery LED, power switch and mute switch
  • HM40 condenser horn microphone employs cardioid pickup pattern for outstanding sound
  • Horn bell clamp included for easy attachment of entire AH1/HM40 assembly to horn
  • AC adapter and 1/4-inch to 1/4-inch cable included
