Overview

The ULTRAMIZER PRO DSP1424P from Behringer is a multi-band, program-adaptive compressor/limiter with 24-bit A/D and D/A converters for increased resolution. Its DSP engine allows for adding compression and limiting for both low and high frequencies while at the same time remaining virtually "inaudible."

The unit can increase the loudness of audio master recording or double the loudness of a PA system without needing more amplifier power. A peak limiter protects against any clipping and dangerous sound pressure levels and the built-in stereo processor provides additional spatial enhancement and improved stereo imaging.

A noise reduction system helps keep noise to a minimum. Despite the scope of its functions, the DSP1424P is easy to use and operate. A free Windows editor can be downloaded from Behringer's website.
