MORE OF A GOOD THING: MACKIE CONTROL EXTENDER PRO
- The Mackie Control Extender Pro is an eight-channel control surface extension for MCU Pro. Slightly narrower than a MCU Pro, the Extender Pro has all the channel strip features of the MCU Pro — without the master section. Depending on your music production software support, multiple Extender units can be used together with a MCU Pro to emulate a large-scale control surface with as many faders and pots as desired.
EASY SETUP
- Connect just a single USB cable and you are up and running wtih MCU Pro. And the built-in MIDI interfaces lets you add up to three MCU XT Pros without the need for external hardware. Or use the MIDI I/O to hook up your classic MIDI gear and work on your ELO covers.
The Mackie Control Extender Pro from Mackie is an 8-channel control surface extension for Mackie Control Universal Pro. Slightly narrower than the main unit, the Extender Pro has all the channel strip features of the MC Pro, without the master section.Each channel has a 100mm motorized fader, a Mackie rotary V-Pot, surrounded by an LED collar to indicate the current value, dedicated buttons for record ready, solo, mute, channel select, and signal present LED. Multiple extender units can be used together with a MCU Pro to emulate a large-scale control surface.

Front Panel Features:
1.) TOUCH-SENSITIVE FADERS- These 100mm , touch-sensitive , motorized faders are used to control the channel's levels, aux returns ,MIDI tracks and master fader levels. The eight faders move relative to the activity of the currently selected bank of on-screen faders.
2.) SELECT - This button selects the corresponding channel for channel-based editing or assignment commands
3.) MUTE - The mute button turns off the corresponding channel's output signal
4.) SOLO - Pushing a SOLO button isolates that channels output signal to the mix bus in the DAW application
5.) SIGNAL - This LED illuminates when a signal is present in the corresponding channel
6.) REC - This button arms or disables the corresponding track for recording
7.) V-POT - The V-pots serve a dual function on the MACKIE control , acting as a push-button and a rotary control
8.) Scribble Strip - This backlit LCD above the channel strips displays track names,plug-in parameters and other information depending on the channel strips current mode of operation
Rear Panel Features:
18.) PORT 2 (MIDI IN / OUT) - These are standard 5-pin MIDI input and output connectors
23.) POWER CONNECTOR - This is where you connect the supplied external AC power supply to provide power to the unit
24.) POWER SWITCH - This switch turns the power on or off
25.) KENSINGTON LOCK - To help prevent theft, the MCU Pro and MCU XT Pro have a security slot designed to fit the popular Kensington security locks.
