Overview

The Production Intercom PS-4 Intercom System Interface provides precise voltage regulation, further smoothing of the DC current (AC hum elimination), automatic overload/ short-circuit protection, the necessary termination network for the intercom circuit. It features an LED indicator which indicates that 24VDC is being delivered, and 3 paralled XLR jacks for connection of  headset stations or strings of stations in party-line configuration

Durability:

The ribbed, extruded aluminum cases, polypropylene end bezels, internal support system for the PC boards, and best quality XLR connectors all contribute to the outstanding ability of the BP-1 Beltpacks and PS-4 System Interface to withstand rough usage.

The PS-4's regulator is mounted on a large internal heat sync using a generous amount of silicon heat sync compound to assure continuous,trouble-free operation.

Many of our customers have found the PS-4 and AD2410 combination to be an extremely cost effective and highly flexible method of powering small portable and rental intercom systems. It should be noted that the PS-4 features three XLR type connectors like the rack-mounted PS-2 power supply. Functionally, the combination could be considered as a 1 amp equal to the 2 amp PS-2.

The combination of the PS4 and the AD2410 AC/DC adaptor maker up the power supply for our econoCom systems. They can also be used to power a small system of your own design. Though switch-mode AC/DC adaptors are inherently noisy in audio circuits, we select them carefully and test every batch for excessive noise. Even a make and model from the same manufacturer will often fail those tests as quality control in the best of these devices is often poor. The PS4 contains large smoothing capacitors and a regulator to prevent the system from trying to pull more current from the AD2410 than it can provide without excessive heat and noise. The necessary termination circuit for the intercom audio is also part of the PS4. The line cord for the AD2410 is included. It can operate on any line voltage from 90 to 240VAC.

The AD2410 AC/DC Power Adaptor provides up to 1.0A of current at a nominal 24 VDC. It is UL , CE and CSA approved. It's AC input is universal, operating at any voltage from 100 to 250VAC at either 50 or 60Hz. The cool running AD2410 features a removable IEC power cord and captive DC output cable with a connector compatible with the PS-4 Intercom System Interface. It has rubber feet for table-top use and can be conveniently mounted almost anywhere in a facility with velcro, tie-wraps or removable adhesive products.

The combination of an AD2410 and PS-4 Intercom System Interface compose the power supply for an econoCom intercom system.
