Overview:

Picture this: you and your buddies have a band. You've been gigging around town and are making a name for yourselves. It's time to start doing some serious songwriting and get that first CD done. You grab your bass and your BX108 and drive over to the guitar player's house. He's got the PC up and running and a cookin' drum loop is coming from the soundcard. Using the tape inputs, he hooks up the left soundcard output to your BX108 and the right out to his GX108, and plugs a tape out from each amp into the soundcard inputs. He briefly explains his song idea then sets the PC in record and off you go. After a couple takes, you've got good guide tracks for a song. You save it, email it to your keyboard player and your singer, and start working on the next tune...

The Behringer Thunderbird BX108 1x8" Bass Combo Amp is a little powerhouse that's ideal for practice and jamming. The Thunderbird bass combo boasts a 15W amp with a bass-reflex cabinet and custom-made 8" speaker. The cool retro design features a burgundy-colored top panel, black covering, and a leather handle. A 3-band EQ lets you shape the tone, and a stereo tape I/O makes it easy to interface the Behringer BX108 amp with your computer's soundcard.

That's just one example of the many ways you can effectively use this practice combo amplifier. You can also use it for small, unplugged gigs. Or, if you play keyboards, to give those bass or guitar samples an extra touch of realism for your demos or MIDI productions.

Of course, you can also simply practice with the BX108. And don't leave home without one: it's about the best thing you can have along on tour for warming up before the gig or keeping your chops up in the hotel room on a day off.

7.) FUSE HOLDER / VOLTAGE SELECTOR. Please make sure that your local voltage matches the voltage indicated on the unit, before you attempt to connect and operate the BX108. Blown fuses may only be replaced by fuses of the same type and rating. Some models allow for inserting the fuse holder in two different positions, in order to switch over from 230-V to 115-V operation, and vice versa. Please note that for 115-V operation outside Europe, you need to use a fuse of a higher rating (see chapter 1.1).

8.) Use the enclosed power cord to connect the unit to the mains.

9.) The stereo 1/4" PHONES jack allows you to monitor the BX108’s audio signal with a pair of commercially available headphones. Connecting the headphones will mute the built-in speaker.

10.) The TAPE OUT cinch connector supplies the audio signal of your BX108, for example to send it to a recording machine.

11.)  The TAPE IN cinch connector allows you to connect an external signal source such as a drum computer or other machine providing audio

playbacks.

12.) SERIAL NUMBER. Please take the time to have the warranty card filled out completely, and return it within 14 days after the date of purchase, so as to be entitled to benefit from our extended warranty. Or use our online registration option available on the World Wide Web at www.behringer.com.
