Overview:

The  Production Intercom BP1 is our standard single circuit beltpack. It has been in production by successive manufacturers for more than three decades. Many minor changes to the circuit board have been made, over time, to accommodate modern components while maintaining its original sound quality and durability. The most recent change was to add a switch on the rear to allow the use of modern headsets with electret microphones. It has resisted every effort to destroy it, either accidentally or deliberately. It’s operation is simple and very intuitive. We’ve never attempted to make it sleeker or more modern looking because that would amount to fixing something that isn’t broken, and probably sacrificing both its durability and ease of repair. And who actually cares what it looks like? That’s why its black.

Features:

Frequency response has been carefully shaped to optimize both intelligibility and long-term listening comfort. A mic. limiter circuit reduces overload distortion. The high bridging impedance ensures that system and sidetone levels do not vary as other stations are switched in and out of the circuit.

 Panel Features:

New Features: This BP-1 has an Electret/Dynamic Switch located on the rear panel. When pushed to the "In" position the unit will operate with an Electret Mic.When in the "Out" position the unit will operate with a standard dynamic Mic.
