Features:

Front Panel Features:

1. INPUT GAIN - Controls the Input level with +/- 12 dB of gain.

2. LOW CUT - Switch for selecting the 25 Hz high pass filter.

3. CROSSOVER FREQUENCY - Adjusts the frequencies for the low and high bands.

4. DELAY - Provides a timing delay of up to 2 seconds for the signal to reach the outputs, which is helpful to align speaker systems in phase.

5. GAIN - Controls the frequencies output level with a range of -∞ to +6 dB.

6. PHASE INVERT - Reverses the polarity of the output by 180 degrees to compensate for high-frequency cancellation.

7. MUTE - Mutes the output of the selected frequency.

8. CD HORN - Compensates for the high-frequency roll-off in a CD (Constant Directivity) Horn loudspeaker by providing the same sound pressure levels at frequencies above 3.5 kHz within the sound coverage area.

9. STEREO - LED indicating stereo mode operation.

10. THRESHOLD - Sets the point at which the Limiter will affect the signal.

11. MULTIBAND LIMITER – Activate this to prevent the signal from clipping.

12. POWER - Press this button to power AX2304 on/off.

Rear Panel Features:


1. POWER - Connect the included power cable here and then connect to a wall outlet.

2. FREQUENCY OUTPUT - Outputs for the various frequency bands.

3. XOVER FREQ X10 - When the X10 button is pressed on the rear panel, the frequency range is multiplied by 10.

4. CHANNEL INPUT - Connect your source device here.

5. MODE - Select the mode to use to process each of the frequency bands.

6. LF - Select between having the low frequencies be in stereo or summed together in mono

Operation Modes:

ALTO AX2304 can be operated in three modes by using the two Mode buttons on the rear panel: mono 4-way, stereo 2-way, or stereo 3-way:

MONO 4-WAY SET-UP

1.Use the included power cable to connect AX2304 to a wall outlet.

2. Connect the mono source from the mixer’s  output to the input connector of Channel 1 on  AX2304.

3. Connect the High Output of AX2304 to the audio input of your amplifier.

4. Connect the Low Output of AX2304 to the audio input of your system.

5. Connect the Low-Mid Output of AX2304 to the audio input of your amplifier.

6. Connect the High-Mid Output of AX2304 to the audio input of your amplifier.

7. *Adjust the Mode button so that the left button is raised and the right button is depressed. The Mono LED will light up on the front panel for Channel 1.

8. *Use the Xover Freq button to adjust the control range of the front panel Low/Low-Mid from 44 Hz to 930 Hz or 440 Hz to 9.3 kHz.

9. Power up AX2304 first, then the amplifier to run the system. When powering off, ensure the amplifier is  turned off first, then the AX2304. 

MONO 4-WAY CONNECTION DIAGRAM

MONO 2-WAY SET-UP

Note: Be sure that the rear panel Mode switch is in the correct position and that the corresponding connectors are properly configured; otherwise, you could damage your  speakers.

1. Use the included power cable to connect AX2304 to a wall outlet.

2. Connect the source from your mixer’s output to the input of Channels 1 and 2 on AX2304.

3. Connect the High Output from Channels 1 and 2 of AX2304 to the audio inputs on your amplifier.

4. Connect the Low Output from Channels 1 and 2 of AX2304 to the audio inputs on your amplifier.

5. *Adjust the Mode buttons so that the left Mode button is depressed and the right button is raised.

6. In Stereo Mode, the two low frequency paths can be combined and sent to the Low Output of Channel

1. Depress the LF Sum button and then connect the LF Sum output of Channel 1 to your system. This

feature is useful when a single sub is in the system.

7. *Use the Xover Freq button to adjust the control range of the front panel Low/High from 44 Hz to 930

Hz or from 440 Hz to 9.3 kHz.

8. Power up AX2304 before your power amplifier. When powering off, turn off the power amplifier first,

then turn off AX2304.

MONO 2-WAY CONNECTION DIAGRAM 

MONO 3-WAY SET-UP

Note: Be sure that the rear panel Mode switch is in the  correct position and the corresponding connectors are properly configured; otherwise you could damage your speakers.

1. Use the included power cable to connect AX2304 to

a wall outlet.

2. Connect the source from your mixer’s output to the inputs of Channels 1 and 2 on AX2304.

3. Connect the Low Output of AX2304’s Channel 1 and Channel 2 outputs to the inputs of your amplifier.

4. Connect the Mid Output of AX2304’s Channel 1 and Channel 2 outputs to the inputs of your amplifier.

5. Connect the High Output of AX2304’s Channel 1 and Channel 2 outputs to the inputs of amplifier.

6. *Adjust the Mode buttons so that both are depressed.

7. In stereo mode, the two low frequency paths can be combined and sent to the Low Output of Channel

1. Depress the LF Sum button and then connect the LF Sum output of Channel 1 to your system. This

is helpful if using a setup with additional subwoofers.

8. *Use the Xover Freq button to adjust the control range of the front panel Low/Mid from 44 Hz to 930 Hz

or 440 Hz to 9.3 kHz.

9. Power on AX2304 first, then power on the amplifier to run the system. When powering off, ensure that

the amplifier is turned off first, then turn off AX2304
