Overview

Up to eight remote controller devices can connect simultaneously

The Yamaha EXI8 is an Input Expander compatible for the MTX/MRX Series. It converts the analog mic/line signal to digital and transmits to the MTX via Yamaha's proprietry YDIF connection. The preamps for EXi8 can be remotely controlled from an MTX/MRX Editor.

The EXI8 can be controlled via an external device through a NETWORK connector. Up to eight remote controller devices can connect simultaneously. As remote control of EXI8 is performed via the NETWORK connector only, there is no requirement to configure the port using MTX-MRX Editor for remote control. When EXI8 is connected and controlled from MTX3, MTX5-D or MRX7-D, up to seven remote controller devices can be used for these devices.
